Congratulations! You are scheduled for a job interview!

You really do have something to celebrate. You have gotten enough positive attention from someone with the ability to hire you that they have scheduled an interview with you. This is a worthy achievement! But if you are like most of us, you are not yet basking in the glow of success. In fact, you might feel more stressed out than ever as you anticipate an interview. Don't despair. There is some important work to do that can help you make the most of the interview.

Objectives

Here is what you’ll be able to do when you have successfully completed this module:

1. Prepare for a job interview by researching the employer, preparing mentally and physically, and making a good professional first impression.
2. Identify the interests of the employer and the candidate.
3. Anticipate and prepare questions according to these interests.
4. Follow up an interview with appropriate communications and personal reflections.
